Washington, Nov 7 -
Buried within the contents of the 1,990 page bill—as well as a separate
13-page bill (H.R. 3961) that would increase the deficit by more than $200
billion—are details that will see a massive federal involvement in the
health care of every American, including the following:
"I
have reviewed selected sections of the bill and find it unbelievable that
our Congress, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, could come up with a bill loaded
with so many wrong-headed elements. We do need to reform the health
insurance system in America in order to make coverage affordable and
available to everyone. But, how many of us believe our federal government
can manage a new program any better than the bankrupt Medicare program or
the underfunded Social Security program? Both Republicans and Democrats are
equally responsible for the financial mess of those two programs.
“I felt I had to
do something! A small group of friends from Richland Springs, Texas called
and asked Ken (husband, Ken Gray, of
fifty-seven years) and I to fly to Washington DC to participate in the 9
-12 March on the Capitol. We were both quick to say, Lets do it!
NOTE! The Tea Party Express will be in Austin on Friday
November 6th.

Hello Patriots,
There is news about the September 3rd Tea
Party Town Hall Meeting that you need to know. This letter
explains a meeting that was held Tuesday night, 8-25-09, with the
District Director for Rep. Conaway.
Since the meeting, I have been told the
real reason for the resistance to any of our offers to modify the
event. Over two weeks ago, when they made the decision not to come to
Marble Falls, they made plans to speak to a group of medical workers in
Brownwood at 5:30 PM. Further, they will still be in Burnet at Seton
Hospital at 2:00 PM on the 3rd. None of this information was mentioned
or discussed at the meeting on Tuesday. Tuesday night was when we
learned the Rep. Conaway would NOT be attending the Town Hall Meeting.
The offer was previously made to have a staffer attend in his place.
The reasons given for Rep. Conaway not
coming were self
serving at best.
We were told, however, that it was to preserve the integrity of our
event. It was implied that we could not organize or control our own
event and that they were doing us a favor by not coming.
As a result of this change, we have made
another change. We will now have an "Open Mike" time for all present.
We will still have Sgt. Sam from 590KLBJ
and at least 3 candidates to speak to us about their views. I know that
they will also be happy to listen to you. We will have venders with
shirts and other items and I know another Great Time will be had.
Please continue to make your plans to
attend our Tea Party Town Hall Meeting that will now be a
"Let the People Be Heard" Rally!
Date, time and location are the same.
Please pass this information on to any and all of your contacts.
We have invited all of the State and
National elected officials for our area to attend this Town Hall Meeting
for them to listen to you. They will also be able to let you know where
they stand on the issues. This is a Non-Partisan Event.
QUESTIONS:
We would like to have as many
questions as possible submitted in advance. They will grouped by topic to
be used at the event. Your questions should be submitted by e-mail to:
dav4i@aol.com or by mail at: 1112 Pecan Dr., Marble Falls, TX 78654.
You WILL be able to
submit questions at the event for the moderator to use, but we would
prefer to have them by September 1, 2009.
Come to the event, bring a
friend, bring your lawn chair or blanket, bring your signs and Let Them
Hear From You!!!!!
I need more information,
Or at least some confirmation
That my fears are groundless
And my freedom is still boundless.

Many of you asked for addresses for the
Representatives that voted YES on Cap and Trade. Click
here for a spreadsheet of all the Representatives,
their addresses, phone numbers and how they voted on Cap and Trade.
Feel free to contact the Reps that voted yes and/or send them a pink
slip, especially those RINO's (Republicans in name only). We suggest
getting some pink paper for the printing. Printing the pink document on
white paper could be time consuming and expensive. If this is too
difficult, just print black and white document on white paper. (they
will get the idea).
We are also including a document that a fellow patriot sent us that we
thought was very interesting. It shows the impact of Cap and Trade on
each congressional district.
